Scott Robins Construction, Inc., is a State Certified General Contractor in Florida. For more than a decade, we have built a solid reputation as a quality-oriented construction company. Known and respected throughout the construction industry, we work predominantly in new construction, historic rehabilitation and large-scale remodeling. Our areas of specialty include upscale mixed-use commercial properties, beautiful parking garages, luxury apartment complexes, elegant hotels and government projects. To accommodate our clients, we are able to work on either a negotiated, lump-sum, or cost-plus fixed-fee basis. Our construction expertise is put to use early on through the use of our pre-construction services, which include cost estimating and value-engineering in the planning, design and permitting process. It builds through our team-oriented relationships with all of the project consultants, including architects, engineers and all applicable governmental entities. We then hire the most highly skilled, quality-oriented subcontractors to complete the construction according to the plans and specifications. We obtain fair and competitive prices because our subcontractors are confident that our projects are well coordinated and properly scheduled. Our management team spends those extra hours meeting with the owner and architect, and conveying their thoughts to the workforce. We also spend many hours reviewing shop drawings and submittals. The construction managers primary responsibility is to serve as an advocate for the owner, ensuring stringent quality controls throughout design and construction. CM gives the owner control over costs and scheduling, and hence the overall quality of a project. CM utilizes a team-based approach in which the construction firm is closely involved with the project owner, architect, and other consultants. This intimate involvement begins in the conceptual design stage and continues through the entire construction process until the project is completed and operational. When an Owner decides to develop a piece of property he often lacks the construction and/or development expertise to effectively oversee the process. The OR assumes responsibility for assisting the owner with the selection of an appropriate site, development of initial project budgets, and undertaking early feasibility studies by thorough due diligence. If a project passes these tests, the appropriate design professionals are hired to produce the construction documents. Once the construction documents are completed, they are put out to bid to qualified contractors. When the bids are received and analyzed, the best contractor is chosen and a construction contract negotiated. During actual construction, the OR coordinates with the consultants and contractors to ensure the project is within budget, on schedule and finished to the complete satisfaction of the owner.
